The Pro Era Cypher

Cypher of 2day------------------------------------------------------------ Pro Era (short for Progressive Era) is an American hip hop collective from Brooklyn, New York. The collective includes, among others, rappers Joey Bada$$, CJ Fly, Kirk Knight, Nyck Caution, Aaron Rose, Dessy Hinds, Dirty Sanchez, Rokamouth, J.A.B. and Jakk the Rhymer, along with producers Chuck Strangers, Powers Pleasant, Bruce Leekix, Hans Solo and Niles. The collective was formed in 2011 by Capital STEEZ and Powers Pleasant, with Joey Bada$$ and CJ Fly among its founding members. Cypher or cipher is an informal gathering of rappers, beatboxers, and/or break-dancers in a circle, in order to jam musically together. The term has also in recent years come to mean the crowd which forms around freestyle battles, consisting of spectators and onlookers. This group serves partly to encourage competition and partly to enhance the communal aspect of rap battles. The cipher is known for "making or breaking reputations in the hip hop community; if you are able to step into the cipher and tell your story, demonstrating your uniqueness, you might be more accepted". These groups also serve as a way for messages about hip hop styles and knowledge to be spread, through word-of-mouth and encouraging trends in other battles.

Dance with the Devil - Immortal Technique

Το "Dance with the devil", ένα από τα πιο πολυακουσμένα κομμάτια του περιγράφει την ιστορία ενός τύπου ο οποίος για να γίνει μέλος μιας συμμορίας πρέπει να βιάσει και να σκοτώσει μία γυναίκα.

Hailing from Brooklyn, 3 Titans' members are backed by the Menahan Street Band, which contains members of Antibalas and The Dap-Kings. Two years ago, MSB came to the public's attention when Jay-Z sampled its song "Make the Road by Walking" for his "Roc Boys" single; this time, it constructs a thunderous old-school track of hard drums, brawny basslines and blaring horn hits on the chorus.
